GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) -- Police said they didn’t expect the bank robber who robbed the Lake Michigan Credit Union on Monday would be free for long after he walked past several surveillance cameras at the bank and at St. Mary’s Hospital.
The suspect appologized to the bank teller for robbing her, before he left.
He left behind clear pictures of his face.
Police got a number of tips.
He had shaved his head since the robbery but it didn't help.
Grand Rapids Police tracked him to Grand Avenue, where he surrendered after an hour long stand off.
He will be formally charged Wednesday.
