Garth Brooks has already received what seems like enough trophies to fill a warehouse during his career, but he's adding a pretty impressive honor to the collection this fall. ASCAP has announced Garth is one of the five artists receiving their once-in-a-century Centennial Awards November 17 at a gala at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City.
The other honorees are folk star Joan Baez , rock legend Billy Joel , musical theater icon Stephen Sondheim and the great Stevie Wonder . The recipients are described as "a select group of American music icons in recognition of their incomparable accomplishments in their respective music genres and beyond."
