BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN) - The City Manager’s search in Battle Creek is about to go public in a big way as the four finalists will take a tour of the Cereal City today, participate in a reception with the public this evening and face a grilling by city commissioners tomorrow. The public will be allowed to watch but not participate in the questioning tomorrow at City Hall.
Tonight’s event will be held at the Burnham Brook Center at 6 p.m. The interviews tomorrow will take place in Commission Chambers beginning at 8 a.m. and may run until mid afternoon.
A final decision will be made Tuesday evening, when the full commission will be present.
Who are the four finalists for City Manager in Battle Creek? Interim City Manager Susan Bedsole, Rebecca Fleury who is currently Village Manager in Middleville, Stephen Rasmussen a vice-president in a private company in Missouri, and James Slaughter the Economic Development Director in Newburgh, New York.
