MARSHALL, MI (WNWN) - On Sunday afternoon Calhoun County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Kalamazoo River in Marshall Township for a report of a horse being stuck out in the river. The call came from 15795 A. Drive North. Deputies were assisted by Marshall Police Department, Calhoun County Sheriff's Department Marine Division and Posse, along with several other community members.
Animal owners were the Clayborn family who utilized on scene excavation equipment for a safe recovery from the water. A local veterinarian was then summoned to the scene by the family to render further aid to the horse.
