CHICAGO (WKZO) -- Gas prices have just taken a 30-cent bump at the pump so unless you filled up before the hike or find a station that didn’t get the memo, you will be paying more.
Patrick DeHaan at GasBuddy.com says this spike is just the latest in an ongoing drama here in the Great Lake State.
Prices in Michigan jumped from $3.39 to $3.69 in just a few hours.
The timing shouldn’t surprise anyone, considering it’s the last big weekend of the summer
DeHaan says if you are traveling out of state, and can get there on the gas you have in your tank, you may want to wait to fill up.
Gas prices have topped out about ten cents lower in Indiana.
About a million Michiganders will be traveling this weekend, that means about 6 or 7 million are not, and may not have to deal with the higher prices.
