HARTFORD TOWNSHIP (WKZO) -- State Police are looking for witnesses to a morning crash that killed two seniors in Hartford Township. It happed at about 10:30 this morning on Red Arrow Highway near 70th Street.
Arriving officers found two cars, a 2007 Honda and a 2009 Ford that had been involved in a head-on collision at highway speeds.
The 66-year-old driver of the Honda, a man and a 91-year-old female passenger, both from Watervliet, were pronounced dead soon after arrival at Lakeland Hospital.
The Driver of the Ford, a 70-year-old from Hartford was listed in stable condition. All were wearing seatbelts.
Their names are being withheld pending notification of family.
State Police accident reconstructionists from the Paw Paw Post are working the case but could use an eyewitness account.
The crash shut down Red Arrow for several hours this morning.
