SUNRISE, FL (WTVB) - After falling behind 1-0 in the first period the Red Wings scored three unanswered goals to pick up a 3-1 win on the road over the Florida Panthers. Daniel Alfredsson and Gustav Nyquist each hit the back of the net in the second period, while Brian Lashoff tallied his first of the season on an empty netter with 20 seconds left in the third. Jimmy Howard stopped 23-of-24 shots for Detroit, which has won three of four. They also had center Pavel Datsyuk back on the ice after he missed the past 14 games with a lower body injury.
The Red Wings final game before their break for the Sochi Olympics is tomorrow night at Tampa Bay.
