KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- Kalamazoo City Commissioners are set Monday Night to approve a new ban on dogs at the Milham Park Golf Course. It would amend an existing ordinance and become only the second public park in the city where dogs are prohibited.
The other is on the beach at Woods Lake.
The ban was proposed because of complaints from golfers and cross country skiers who use the property during the winter, about dogs leaving their messes on the golf course.
The first citation could result in a $100 fine. A second within 6-months would mean a $200 fine.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
