GOBLES (WKZO) -- A 28-year-old from Kalamazoo may be headed to jail after his fifth drunk driving offense in two years.
A Van Buren County Deputy pulled the man over in Gobles for a bad headlight and erratic driving and smelled alcohol as he approached the driver’s side window.
The driver flunked dexterity and blood alcohol tests. Deputies say he also violated his restrictions as a probationer with the Ionia County Alcohol court.
The child was released to its mother, who was called to the scene to retrieve the child.
The Kalamazoo man was arrested for being a repeat drunk driver, violating a restricted license and child endangerment.
