DEARBORN (WKZO) -- Debbie Dingell is non committal for now about a potential candidacy for her retiring husband's seat in congress.

The 87-year-old John Dingell announced Monday that he will not run for re-election this fall, bringing an end to a career that began with a 1955 special election for his late father's seat.  Debbie Dingell says she doesn't want to do anything to take the spotlight off the man called the dean of the House.

TheHill.com also mentions state Senator Rebekah Warren of Ann Arbor and state Representatives Andrew Kandrevas of Southgate and Doug Geiss of Taylor as potential Democratic contenders.
