RICHLAND (WKZO) -- Voters in the Gull Lake School district have defeated another millage request, this time by the narrowest of margins.
The School Board asked for a .65 mil increase to make school improvements. Homeowners voted 1,029 to 1,024, defeating the measure by five votes.
Mendon voters were more generous, approving a 9.3-million dollar bond issue for school improvements.
Voters in Martin approved a routine renewal of the operational millage by nearly 3 to 1.
