UNDATED (WTVB) - The brutal cold and blowing snow continues to disrupt air travel all across the Midwest and the Northeast. A few flights landed at Kalamazoo Battle Creek International yesterday, but none left. Only a few planes managed to leave Gerald R. Ford in Grand Rapids.
AAA says its aided over 14,000 motorists in the midwest since the snow started falling on Sunday, and about a third of the calls have come because the intense cold has been too much for batteries. Nancy Cain at AAA of Michigan says jump-starting dead batteries is only one of the reasons they get calls for help. She says their tow truck operators are rushing from call to call.
