ANN ARBOR, MI (WTVB) -Michigan last night gained a share of the Big Ten lead with the Wolverines beating Penn State 80-67 at Crisler Center. Nik Stauskas dropped in 21 points to carry Michigan to its sixth straight win. Derrick Walton Jr. added 16 points and Glenn Robinson III had 15 as the Wolverines improved to 12-4 and 4-0 in the conference. 4th-ranked Michigan State, also 4-0 in the Big Ten, has a league game tonight at Northwestern.
The Big Ten’s last undefeated team was upset last night as Indiana handed 3rd-ranked Wisconsin a 75-72 loss at Assembly Hall. The Badgers road defeat left them with a 3-1 conference mark and 17-1 record overall.
Last night in the Mid-American Conference, Western Michigan had its 4-game winning streak snapped as the Broncos were cooled off by Eastern Michigan with the host Eagles winning easily 56-37.
