GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) -- The National Weather Service says we are heading into an arctic blast this week and next that could be every bit as cold as the Polar Vortex with one big difference.
Meteorologist Bob Dukesherer at the National Weather Service office in Grand Rapids says this time it could stick around for a while longer.
He thinks the arctic blast will continue through the weekend and into next week.
He says this week we will see highs in the teens with lows some nights dipping below zero, before you factor in the wind chill.
He says next week could be even colder.
