PAW PAW (WKZO) -- A Van Buren County woman who was involved in a horrific crash on a snowy day last February that killed four women on a church outing, has been given a year in jail.
27-year-old Ashley Baker of Waterviliet had been tried, but the jury deadlocked on a verdict. The prosecutor offered a plea bargain and Baker accepted it in exchange for having three of the felony counts against her dropped.
She had been charged with being under the influence of Marijuana.
Her attorney argued that it was icy roads that caused the crash.
She was also given five years probation and ordered to pay court costs.
