EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (WTVB) - Super Bowl week is in full force.  The Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks are in place in New Jersey and gearing up for Super Bowl 48 Sunday at MetLife Stadium.  Although the official Media Day is today, coaches and some players met with reporters on Monday. The Seahawks are practicing this week at the Giants' training facility in East Rutherford, while the Broncos are using the Jets' facility in Florham Park. This year's game pits the number-one rated offense in Denver going up against the top-rated defense in Seattle.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll is making headlines for reasons other than the Super Bowl this week.  Carroll says the NFL should look into medicinal marijuana to take care of its players. Stopping short of being fully in favor of such a move, Carroll made it clear that it's something the league should pursue.  Medicinal marijuana is now legal in 20 states, including Washington DC.  The state of Washington and Colorado recently legalized marijuana for recreational use.
