AUBURN HILLS (WKZO) -- Chrysler is expanding an earlier recall, adding about 695-thousand minivans to the list.
Previously the automaker had recalled nearly 200-thousand 2010 model year Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan and Dodge Journey vehicles because the ignition switch can reportedly slip out of the run position. The new recall includes 2008 and 2009 model year minivans.
The defect is similar to the one that prompted General Motors to recall millions of vehicles. So far there have been two reported accidents that may be linked to the problem with the Chrysler vehicles.
