KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- A Kalamazoo man has been bound over to stand trial for the death of his infant son.
Brian Roberts initially told police that 2-year-old Nehemiah Dodd had fallen down the stairs New Years Eve and that’s how he suffered the head injury that led to his death.
But a detective testified that Roberts changed his story in subsequent interviews.
He told the detective it was unintentional, and that may be why the judge added a charge of third degree child abuse to the first degree charge and the felony murder count he also faces.
A trial date will be set later.
Roberts remains in custody on $250-thousand bond.
