BRONSON, MI (WTVB) - Bronson’s Polish Festival Days, the 45th annual edition, kicks off tonight with the opening ceremonies set for 6:30 pm at the St. Mary’s of Assumption Church gymnasium. It begins 3 days of lots of food, fun, games, and other activities including what’s billed as the third largest parade in Michigan stepping off at 1 pm Saturday. This evening’s event features the crowning of the Royal Court, a silent auction, and announcing the winner of the second annual Polish Food Cook-Off. The finishing touch is a fireworks show at dark.
Friday is Kids Day with the Kids Zone at the library parking lot with pony rides, a dunk tank and inflatables from 11 am to 3 pm both Friday and Saturday. In addition to the parade on Saturday, there’s also the annual Polish Festival car show and an antique tractor show along with truck and tractor pulls.
