WHITE PIGEON (WKZO) -- A missing person in Cass County has been found.
Fifty-nine-year-old Charles Rusher was first reported missing after he walked away from an assisted living facility in Wayne Township Wednesday and a search began for the dementia patient by 8:30 p.m. Less than twelve hours later, White Pigeon Police reported to the Cass County Sheriff's Office that he had been found.
It appears that Rusher broke into a White Pigeon residence sometime overnight and fell asleep on a couch. The homeowner found him by 8:22 a.m. Thursday. No charges are expected to be filed as Rusher was uninjured, but disoriented and unclear as to how he arrived at the home.
Rusher is being taken back to Cass County to a location to be determined by the court ordered agency that is in charge of his legal guardianship.
