LANSING (WKZO) -- Terri Lynn Land, candidate for U.S. Senate, insists there is nothing illegal or improper about a three-million dollar campaign contribution.
At issue is an investigation into a contribution Land made to her own campaign. Authorities say that on federally filed forms Land failed to disclose the account from which that money was withdrawn. It is a joint checking account she shares with her husband.
Land insists the error was a simple oversight but opponents say there may be some impropriety as there are limits on how much a spouse may contribute to a campaign.
