LANSING, MI (WTVB) - With the state’s gubernatorial race tightening up, Democratic challenger Mark Schauer traveled to Lansing Tuesday to issue a 10-point jobs plan. He calls it a "Blueprint, A Plan that Works for Everyone."
The plan calls for more funding for education, roads and alternative energy to create jobs in those fields. It also calls for undoing the shifts in the tax burden imposed by the current republican majority. That’s how much of his plan would be funded. Schauer says top down economics has once again proven to be a failure.
The Governor’s office disputes much of what Schauer says about the state’s jobs outlook and says Rick Snyder has increased spending on education.
