DETROIT (WKZO) -- Two suspects are in custody in connection with the deadly shooting of a National Guard Soldier in Detroit. Authorities say 20-year-old Dontae Norris was at the Superland Market Monday night when he was confronted by two people.
The suspects were reportedly trying to carjack Norris and when he tried to stop it, he was fatally shot. Police say a person of interest was taken into custody Monday night and a 19-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday.
Norris had reportedly graduated from basic training last week and was working at the market to make some extra money.
