WASHINGTON D.C. (WTVB) - Michigan 7th District Congressman Tim Walberg joined fellow House Republicans Wednesday in voting to authorize a lawsuit against President Obama. The GOP bill passed along party lines, 225-201. A handful of Republicans, none from Michigan, defected and voted no, believing the measure didn’t go far enough. They all have accused the President of overreach through his increased use of executive actions.
Democrats called the lawsuit an election year charade. The focus of the lawsuit will be on actions Obama has taken to implement and enforce the Affordable Care Act. President Obama has defended his increased use of executive orders, calling them necessary because of congressional inaction.
