CHICAGO, IL (WTVB) - The Tigers continue to tumble with the White Sox beating up on Detroit 8-2 last night in Chicago. The Tigers have dropped 8 of their last ten shrinking their lead in the American League Central to only two games while allowing the rest of the division to get back in the race.
Last night, the White Sox got to Justin Verlander, who fell to 6-and-6, allowing seven runs in five-and-two-thirds innings on 8 hits with four walks. Detroit began the season 27-12 but their record since is just 6-16. The Tigers tonight try to avoid a 3-game sweep by the White Sox before returning home this weekend to take on the Twins at Comerica Park.
