LANSING (WKZO) -- Hidden in the fine print and detail of the Michigan State Budget is a funding item that will help kids from low income families in Kalamazoo County get access to dental care.
Judy Putnam says most counties already have the program. This year's budget adds Kalamazoo and Macomb Counties to the funding program.
She says that leaves only three counties without the program...they are the most populated in the State, Wayne, Oakland and Kent.
Putnam with the League for Public Policy says the new budget also includes 16-thousand additional slots in pre-school programs.
