BATTLE CREEK, MI (WNWN) - The three finalists for the vacant Police Chief position in Battle Creek gave short public presentations last night. Each have different styles and different kinds of management experience. They are vying to take over a troubled police department that some say has lost its credibility in the community and has been wracked by substance abusing officers and even a sex scandal.
Sgt. John Amendola of Los Angeles, Police Chief Gary Lyons of Monroeville, Ohio, and Interim Chief Jim Blocker will all be interviewed this morning by interim Manager Susan Besole and key staffers. She plans to make the decision early next week.
