COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP (WKZO) -- A routine traffic stop just before Midnight Friday led to quite a bit more after deputies found a working meth lab inside the car.
They pulled the car over on Sprinkle near Comstock Ave. and could smell a suspicious odor coming from inside the vehicle.
The 21-year-old driver from Kalamazoo was taken into custody on outstanding warrants and will also likely be charged with operating and maintaining a meth lab.
That arrest led them to an address in the 62-hundred block of E. Michigan Avenue.
With the help of the Kalamazoo Public Safety Department, they searched the home and found several meth labs, finished drugs, the components for manufacturing more Meth and a loaded firearm.
They also found a child in the home and contacted Child Protective Services.
A 19-year-old was arrested on unrelated charges.
More charges are pending, following lab tests. .
