LUDINGTON (WKZO) -- There will be some heavyweights squaring off when Sean Phillips goes on trial for the murder of Baby Kate.
Phillips allegedly drove away with the little girl on the day that the child’s mother had scheduled a paternity test for Phillips.
The infant hasn’t been seen since.
The Attorney General’s office is handling the prosecution. Now it’s been announced that former U.S. Attorney John Smietanka has joined the court appointed and taxpayer funded defense team to assist Court appointed Attorney David Glancy.
It was Glancy who requested the help after the Attorney General took over the prosecution and he was feeling a little out gunned.
Smeitanka refused to say how much he is getting paid.
