EAST LANSING, MI (WTVB) - Number-22 Michigan State got back on track last night after its two game losing skid with an 86-76 win over 24th-ranked Iowa at the Breslin Center Center. Travis Trice posted a season and team-high 17 points off the bench in the victory as the Spartans improved to 12-5 in the Big Ten and 23-7 overall. Adreian Payne added 14 points for MSU, Denzel Valentine went for 13 points and nine assists and Keith Appling and Gary Harris netted 12 points apiece. Michigan State finishes regular season play Sunday at Ohio State.
Tonight, in the Mid-American Conference, it’s Western Michigan at Central Michigan and a win for the visiting Broncos over their arch-rivals would give Western the number-one seed for next week’s MAC tournament in Cleveland
