COLUMBUS, OH (WTVB) - Too many turnovers did in Michigan State as the 22nd-ranked Spartans lost Sunday afternoon 69-67 at Ohio State. The mistakes were a big part of MSU going scoreless for the final 4-and-a-half minutes of the game. Adreian Payne had 23 points with eight rebounds for the Spartans, who close the regular season at 23-and-8 and 12-and-6 in the conference.
Michigan State will face Iowa or Northwestern in the Big Ten Tournament Friday night. Also on Friday, top-seed Michigan will play either Indiana or Illinois.
