DETROIT (WTVB) - The Red Wings pulled out a 2-1 shootout win last night over the Edmonton Oilers at Joe Louis Arena. Tomas Tatar scored in the third round of the shootout to give Detroit the victory. Jimmy Howard finished the game with 21 saves for the Red Wings, who had dropped four of five coming in. Detroit has won six in a row and 13 of its last 14 meetings against Edmonton. Tomorrow night, the Red Wings play at Chicago. In minor league hockey, last night in the ECHL, the Kalamazoo Wings scored a 2-1 win at Toledo, where they play again tonight.
