KALAMAZOO (WKZO)-- It’s the last day of winter, the first day of spring, but NWS Meteorologist Ernie Ostuno says the Jet Stream will be dragging more cold air into the upper Midwest and the Great Lakes states well into next week.
He says snow overnight could result in some slippery spots but nothing that we shouldn’t be used to handling by now.
In fact he says it could be colder than average for the rest of the month.
He says it may not be the preferred weather for those who want to put winter behind them, but he says it will likely prevent flooding in low lying areas because it will mean the record amount of water stored in the snow pack will drain out slowly,
Ostuno says it could be worse, we would be dealing with spring storms and tornados right now if it was a normal year.
