COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - Homeless men in Branch County are an important step closer to having a facility available that is designed to meet their shelter, food, and other needs. Damascus Road Ministries has announced its finalized the purchase of the old Q1 Video building on Division Street in Coldwater to house DRM’s Coldwater Area Life and Learning Center.
Renovations of the building will begin immediately to make the facility fit the needs of the C.A.L.L. Center which also will include an accredited substance abuse program with in and out-patient skilled addictions treatment. Damascus Roads says the Shelter’s goals are to decrease the rate of incarceration and recidivism in our prisons and jails; to reduce male homelessness in Branch County and decrease dependence on local and state funding assistance.
