KALAMAZOO (WKZO) -- A 35-year-old Kalamazoo ex-con is being held without bond for allegedly shooting and wounding two local men on Sunday afternoon at Trimble and E. Main.
Clifton Davis has been charged with two counts of assault with intent to murder, two felony firearm charges and a count of being a felon in possession of a gun.
Detectives were able to identity and track him to an apartment on Inverness Lane on Tuesday and take him into custody.
The names of his victims, both in their early 20’s have not been released. One was treated and sent home with a bullet wound to the foot. The other was admitted with a bullet wound to the back. His condition is not known.
Davis’s state corrections profile lists 20-different aliases. He has done time for armed assault, malicious destruction of police property and multiple drunk driving arrests.
