COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) - Michigan State Police and local police agencies in Branch County last night were involved in a high speed chase as they pursued two motorcycles. It started in Bronson around 7:45 with a report that a biker was speeding and driving in a reckless manner. An officer located a large group of motorcycles including the reckless biker. When he activated his lights and siren to get him to stop, two of them including the initial suspect fled northbound on South Matteson St and continued to U.S. 12. The Bronson officer terminated his pursuit in the area of U.S. 12 and Snow Prairie Road after losing sight of the fleeing suspects.
The speeding motorcyclists were relocated by State Troopers and Coldwater City Police. Speeds were reported closed to 100 mph. The chase continued off U.S. 12 in Coldwater, onto Western Avenue to Union City Road and continued northbound. At last word, no one was arrested.
