(WNFL)- Milwaukee starter Yovani Gallardo sprained his left ankle during last night's 5-0 Brewers' loss at Atlanta. With one out in the Braves' fourth, Gallardo tried to make a leaping snag on a high-chopping grounder from Julio Teheran -- but instead, he rolled the ankle and grimaced in pain. Gallardo left the game -- and to add insult to injury, he suffered the loss to drop to 2-and-3. Manager Ron Roenicke said Gallardo is questionable for his next start -- but otherwise, he's day-to-day. Tyler Thornburg replaced Gallardo, giving up one run in three-and-two-thirds innings. The Brewers lost their season-high fourth game, and were shut out for the second time in four days. Teheran went all the way for his second career shutout -- a six-hitter in which he walked two and struck out eight. Gallardo gave up four runs on four hits with three walks in his three-and-a-third frames. Milwaukee has now gone three games without a quality start, its longest stretch of the year. Andrelton Simmons hit a solo homer, and Justin Upton belted his third homer in as many games. The Braves have now won three straight overall, and eleven of their last 13 over Milwaukee at Turner Field. Game-Three of their four-game set is tonight. Brewers' right-hander Kyle Lohse will go up against veteran righty Ervin Santana.
