UNDATED (WKZO) -- If you hadn’t already noticed, gas prices have jumped higher just in time for the busy Memorial Day weekend.
They went up about 15-cents a gallon yesterday. That puts the price of a gallon of self-serve regular just about a nickel higher than it was at this time last year.
Susan Hiltz at AAA doesn’t expect it to be much of a deterrent for Michiganders who will be heading for a holiday away from home.
She thinks most have plans locked in and a few extra dollars for gas won’t stop them.
She says 90% of all travelers will be driving to their locations this weekend.
