RUTLAND TOWNSHIP (WKZO) — One man is dead and another seriously injured in a motorcycle crash near Hastings that went undiscovered for over 13-hours.
An autopsy may tell investigators if both might have survived had the crash been found sooner.
Barry County Deputies say 19-year-old Zachary Rosenberger was piloting the bike with 27-year-old Jason Roe riding behind him when they went off the road and crashed in a ditch in the 1900 block of State Road near the Hastings Airport at about 10 p.m. Sunday.
A passerby spotted the wreckage late Monday morning.
Roe, a young father who was not wearing a helmet, was dead at the scene.
Rosenberger, who was helmeted, was airlifted to an emergency room. His condition has not been released.
