CENTREVILLE (WKZO) — The St. Joseph County Clerk’s office will go to work this week to see if a citizens group collected enough valid petition signatures to force a recall election targeting three members of the Three Rivers Community Board of Education this November.
A group called TR Cares wants to oust Board President Mike Bosma and trustees Wanetta Truckey and Carl Barth.
They would have gone after other trustees, but because of their recent election, they aren’t eligible for recall yet.
Recall spokesperson Sherrie Nowicki tells the Sturgis Journal that their ultimate goal is to remove Supt. Jean Logan.
They may begin recall drives against other trustees in January.
Friday was the deadline for petitions to make the November ballot.
This Friday is the deadline to verify the signatures.
