KALAMAZOO (WKZO)– Kalamazoo Public Safety detectives are asking for your help and tips to locate 26-year-old George Michael Mack.
He is the prime suspect in the shooting death of 26-year-old Edward Bell who was gunned down in the backyard of a home in the 1300 block of North Rose Street that Bell was visiting just before 2 p.m. Sunday.
They say Mack should be considered armed and dangerous.
At first they thought they had him barricaded in a home on Burdick after a K-9 led them there, but he was not there. A tip led them to Lincolnshire Townhomes off Cork, but he was not there either. He remains at large.
Bell and Mack were having some sort of altercation just before the shooting took place. Bell died from a gunshot wound to the chest and was dead at the scene.
Mack is a black male, approximately 6’1” tall and 150lbs.
