BATTLE CREEK (WKZO-AM) — A burglar who got caught in the act by the homeowner in Battle Creek could be formally charged this week with first-degree home invasion and could spend the holidays at the Calhoun County Corrections Center.
The 23-year-old suspect broke into a house on Minges Road early Saturday.
The occupant heard the suspect and confronted him. The thief fled on foot and left a trail that a K9 was able to follow.
The burglar was found and arrested walking along Beckley Road. Some of the items taken from the home during the break-in were found in his possession.
