COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Meth makers remain busy in Branch County but Michigan State Police say troopers last weekend seized methamphetamine from three different houses in the county. The meth was confiscated on Saturday beginning when a search warrant was served at a residence in the City of Coldwater. State Police discovered components to make meth, remnants of 3 recent one-pot “cooks”, a small amount of meth, and hazardous drug waste. Officers from S.W.E.T., the specialized drug enforcement team, assisted in the search and disposed of the waste.
Taken into custody was 26-year old Sean Springstead, who lives at the home and he faces charges of possessing, manufacturing and delivering meth and maintaining a drug house. In a related search, 31-year old Marc Goheen of Girard Township, was arrested on a pair of meth charges and also for possession of a schedule 4 narcotic.
The investigation is on-going and drug charges are pending on several additional suspects.
