NEWAYGO COUNTY (WKZO) — He was in the headlines in Michigan for about a week…but now tests have confirmed a Newaygo County man’s claims that four month old Natallya Rich died from asphyxiation due to unsafe sleep conditions.
Matthew Bradley told police he accidentally fell asleep with his daughter last May.
She was dead when he woke up. He claims he panicked and hid the body and then lied about the little girls location for four days, fearing the consequences if he told the truth.
Bradley won’t be charged with homicide but he isn’t off the hook. He has cut a deal with prosecutors pleading guilty to concealing the body and for being a habitual offender and will do jail time.[2-1/4 to 7-1/2 years]
