SHERWOOD, MI (WTVB) – Michigan State Police at the Coldwater Post say a Branch County man was injured late yesterday afternoon in a dirt bike accident in Sherwood Township. Branch County 9-1-1 Central Dispatch received a call shortly after 5:30 p.m. Wednesday that an ORV had crashed on private property near 1016 Ralston Road.
The victim was thrown over the handlebars and reported chest pains and difficulty breathing. He was wearing a helmet and was out with a group of riders when the incident occurred northwest of Sherwood. No name was released.
The trooper who covered the accident said the man was in fair condition and was transported by ambulance to a hospital in Kalamazoo for treatment.
