KALAMAZOO (WKZO) — He was considered one of Kalamazoo’s most wanted fugitives, but he is in custody this morning.
Detectives say Ronald Marlatt is a habitual drug offender with a long history of violence, some of it directed at police officers.
Just a few weeks ago, Marlatt barely escaped from a meth lab on Washburn before members of the KVET unit and the Metro SWAT team arrived to raid the place.
He remained at large until KVET got a tip Sunday that he was visiting a house on North Park St.
They observed him sitting in a car, called in the SWAT Team and this time took him into custody without incident.
He will face new meth manufacturing counts and a fleeing and eluding charge in addition to a number of outstanding warrants.
