FABIUS TOWNSHIP (WKZO) — A motorcyclist who was traveling at a high rate of speed with an open container of alcohol crashed his bike in Cass County Saturday evening.
The 33-year-old from Marcellus is listed in critical condition after he was airlifted to Bronson Methodist hospital by Air-Care.
Deputies say the biker was speeding down Coon Hollow Road in Fabius Township when he lost control, clipped a mailbox and overturned, throwing the victim to the pavement.
He was driving on a suspended license and was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. Tests will be run to determine if he was legally impaired by the alcohol.
