COLDWATER, MI (WTVB) – Overcast skies and some drizzle made for a late arriving crowd on Saturday, but the opening day of the 28th Annual Swap Meet and Car Show at the Branch County Fairgrounds was still deemed a success. 667 cars and motorcycles registered on Saturday, which organizers felt was a good number considering the doubtful weather in the morning.
Spectator attendance Saturday was actually up over last year, as the rain moved out and the clouds gave way to afternoon sunshine. A large number of cars also took part in the annual Car Cruise Saturday afternoon, which was followed by a Block Party at the Four Corners Park, sponsored the City of Coldwater and Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce.
The Swap Meet and Car Show continues Sunday from 8 am-3 pm.
