GRAND RAPIDS (WKZO) — After serious outbreaks in surrounding states, the dog flu has now been confirmed in Michigan.
There are two cases in Grand Rapids and one in Macomb County of the virus, which doesn’t affect humans, but Veterinarians say is transmitted easily from dog to dog.
There is a vaccine, and while your dog may be miserable for a while, the vast majority get better after a few days.
It’s a bug that originated in Asia. No one knows how it got here, but thousands of dogs in Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana have already contracted it.
