BRONSON, MI (WTVB) – The City of Bronson may soon be searching for a new City Manager. Mark Heydlauff, who has held the post in Bronson since November of 2010, has been selected to become the new City Manager of Charlevoix, Michigan. If contract negotiations between Heydlauff and Charlevoix city officials prove successful, he would be expected to start his new job by late July.
Charlevoix received 31 applications for their opening which arose when their City Manager took the same job in Petoskey. Heydlauff was interviewed along with 4 other candidates before being offered the position.
Before coming to Bronson nearly five years ago, Heydlauff had worked as an intern in the Sturgis City Manager’s office while finishing work on his Master’s degree in public administration from Western Michigan University.
